NEIU Digital Commons Guide: About NEIU Digital Commons

A guide to submitting work to NEIU Digital Commons.

About NEIU Digital Commons

NEIU Digital Commons is a collection of services that supports and disseminates the scholarship and creative output of Northeastern Illinois University. Digital Commons seeks to make work by NEIU faculty and students widely available while providing a platform for those works to be securely preserved.

NEIU librarians will work individually with faculty members who wish to contribute their work to NEIU Digital Commons. Please visit the Submit Your Work tab to fill out a form indicating your interest.

NEIU Digital Commons Services

The Ronald Williams Library provides the following collection of services to support NEIU Digital Commons:

  • Gathering and entering NEIU author works into NEIU Digital Commons
  • Checking publisher copyright agreements to determine author's rights retention
  • Helping identify non-reputable journals
  • Finding open access journals for a discipline
  • Consulting one-to-one on scholarly communications matters

SelectedWorks allows faculty authors to create accounts that collect all of their scholarship in a single location. Faculty have complete control over this service, but the Ronald Williams Library is able to assist faculty in creating and managing accounts.
